He graduated from Florida State University in 1985 with a Magna Cum Laude GPA and moved to New York. A fresh graduate with lofty dreams, he ventured into the unknown, marking the beginning of his professional journey in the pool industry. His father was a respected figure in the industry and offered Devin his first employment opportunity. Under his father’s mentorship, he learned the ropes and started to understand the intricate dynamics of the pool industry.

A Journey of Growth and Expansion

After a year in the cold north, he decided to relocate back to Florida, where swimming pool services were in demand all year round. With his father’s business model in mind, he spent several years serving clients in Florida through pool retail stores and service companies. As his reputation grew, he found the confidence to push his boundaries and extend his services to the southeastern region.

In 1996, equipped with ambition, he expanded his business to Atlanta. With no signs of slowing down, he expanded into the western United States in 2002. Acting upon his strategic vision, the Associates marked its footprint into the northeastern region in 2014 and broke new ground in Texas in 2021. 

With over 35 employees nationwide, he often emphasizes the importance of a positive work culture, prioritizing his employees’ well-being and family values. He fosters a collaborative environment, strongly emphasizing nurturing vendor relationships critical for company success.

Known for his persistent drive for excellence, he has amassed multiple sales awards, a testament to his proficiency and commitment in his field. Among his most treasured accolades is the “Salesman of the Decade” title from CMP, a prestigious honor demonstrating his sales competencies. A member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, Alpha Mu Alpha, and the Marketing Society, he is a celebrated figure in the academic and professional arena.

Passions Outside of Work

His love for sports, specifically FSU Football, Tampa Bay Bucs Football, and Tampa Bay Lightning hockey, extends beyond the conventional.
